Kapi Beach

Beach

Whatever kind of beach you prefere you will find the right one on Karpathos.
The south of the island provides sandy beaches and mostly a tavern near by. Access to the beaches are quite easy.
Wind- and Kite surfing spots become more and more popular and can also be found in the south (schools for beginners are available).

The north of the island is completely different. There are mainly stony beaches (fun fact: you will not suffer from having sand in every single corner of your belongings) which makes the water appear unbelievable clear and in turquoise colors. Especially if you like to discover the underwater world with mask and snorkel it’s an amazing experience.
The access to these beaches is more tricky. Gravel roads exsisting but require 4×4 car or quat bike. More easy is the access from the water side by boat with daily excursion tours. Just grab your snacks and drinks and enjoy a quiet day at empty beaches. Do not forget your sun creme!!!
